Elena Gorshunova

Elena completed her studies in singing at Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow and after that she became a soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre, where she has performed a repertoire including roles as Contessa di Folleville in Rossini’s ”Il Viaggio a Reims” and as Pamina in Mozart’s ”The Magic Flute”. She has since appeared on the European opera scene to perform major roles, including the title roles as Contessa di Folleville in “Il Viaggio a Reims” at the Theatre du Chatelet Paris, Opéra de Reims, Grand Theatre de Bordeaux, Opera de Marseille, Opera de Monpellier, Opera de Nice, Théâtre du CapitoleToulouse , Opéra d’Avignon, Grand Théâtre de Tours, Opéra de Vichy, Opéra National de Lorraine à Nancy and at the Washington Opera, as Giulietta in concert performance of Bellini’s ‘’I Capuleti e i Montecchi’’, performing alongside Elina Garanča as Romeo, under the baton of Karel-Mark Chichon and as Elvira in Bellini’s ‘’I Puritani’’ with the Latvian National symphony orchestra, as Gilda at the Opéra National de Lorraine à Nancy, as Catherine in Bizet’s ‘’La Jolie Fille de Perth at the Stadttheater Bern.
